Chateau de Ruth is an estate dating from the 16th century. This wine is medium-bodied, with aromas of cherry and raspberry, and dark fruit flavors. Well balanced with a nice mouthfeel - quite rich, with nice complexity of fruit and spice, and a lingering finish. Grenache and Syrah.

The 2022 Chateau De Saint Cosme Cosme Cotes Du Rhone is a full-bodied red wine from the Rhone region of France. It has aromas of ripe dark fruits, spices, and earthy notes. On the palate, it has a smooth texture with flavors of blackberry, plum, and hints of pepper. The finish is long and lingering with a pleasant balance of tannins and acidity.

Bright cherry red with a garnet rim. A refined nose with predominant notes of red and stone fruits: strawberry, raspberry and peach. Patisserie and cream encased in elegant notes of vanilla, caramel and a subtle hint of cinnamon. It is flavorful and expressive on the palate. It is immediately inviting, enveloping the palate and leaving a long and pleasant aftertaste.

Blend: 96% Tempranillo and 4% Mazuelo

A classic and great entry-level Barolo, this enticing Nebbiolo offers aromas of rose petals, anise, and dried cranberry. Flavors of cherry, plum, tobacco, and tar lead into a spicy, leathery finish with supple tannins. 92 Points, James Suckling

It has a brilliant ruby red color that softens as it ages. Its aroma is delicate, fruity, and reminiscent of raspberries and violets. The palate is dry and softens as it ages to become velvety with a long-lasting persistence. Pairings: it pairs very well with red meat, game, and roasts. Excellent with grilled meat.

The new Pinot Noir offering is made up of 97% Pinot Noir and 3% Grenache organic grapes from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. It boasts juicy flavors of raspberry and cherry layered with strawberry and hints of licorice, oak, and tobacco. Additionally, the 2021 San Francisco International Wine Competition awarded the wine a Gold Medal for its first 2020 vintage.  

Marchesi di Barolo Maraia Barbera del Monferrato (750 ml): This Barbera del Monferrato from the prestigious Marchesi di Barolo winery is a vibrant and expressive red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy. The wine showcases the characteristic high acidity and low tannins of the Barbera grape, presenting a profile rich in red fruits like cherries and raspberries, accompanied by hints of spices and a subtle earthiness. Domaine Chapelas Côtes Du Rhône 2022 750mL

60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Marselan 

This year marks the long-awaited return of Leroux’s Nuits-Saint-Georges wines to our offer (the 1er Cru Aux Boudots is offered below). In generous years, Leroux can vinify four Nuits-Saint-Georges wines: this blend of climats, a villages lieu-dit Les Allots and two 1er Cru wines from Aux Thorey and Les Boudots. This year’s blend is a roughly equal split between Aux St. Jacques and Aux Herbues on the Vosne border, and a parcel in the northern part of Fleurières, just south of the town. It should come as no surprise that Leroux’s Nuits taste nothing like the classic rugged stereotype. Instead, you can expect the kind of supple elegance and poise this grower brings to all his wines. 

 Aged in French oak barrels, as opposed to the American oak that remains the stylistic signature of both Silver Oak Cabs, it was to be an elegant, rather Bordeaux-leaning wine that also would preserve the essential character- the Napa Valley-ness- of the patchwork of six vineyard parcels that make up the core of the property.  Now in its third vintage, we are presented with the 2019 Timeless, the most outstanding bottling to date; a Napa Valley wine for the ages.  

The Opus One 2017 offers a harmonious aromatic balance of rich dark fruit, stems of roses, and earthy forest floor. The juicy entry offers a round, silky mouthfeel with just enough acidity to complement the satin texture. This seductive wine shows flavors of black cassis, black cherry and a hint of cocoa powder. The fine-grained, plush tannins evolve into a long, supple finish.

Blend: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 1% Malbec

Aged for a total of up to four years, including a minimum of two years in oak barrels, Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino is a wine of robust character. It possesses a rich garnet color, and a depth, complexity and opulence that is softened by an elegant, lingering aftertaste. Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino`s regal qualities are best exhibited with game, red meats, roasts, hearty stews and rich powerful cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano.

For this label, our founder and winemaker, Dave Phinney, trained an AI model on his past artwork to generate new interpretations, each manipulated and finished by hand. Going back and forth, the model and Dave prompted each other to reflect on the past while using it as a starting point for a new experiment.

The camera didn’t only invent the art of photography, it reinvented the field of painting.

This label is us trying to do both; invent something new and reimagine what we’ve already made.

2023 California Red Wine 
Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Grenache

An opaque fuchsia core and a crimson laced rim introduces one to the 2023 Sign of the Times. Pleasing opening aromatics have notes of black plum, blackcurrant, dark chocolate and leather. The palate centers the attention with tones of blue fruits , more cassis , a hint of licorice and sweet oak. Well integrated tannins keep the wine approachable in its youth while the balancing acidity gives it some aging potential.

A red with lots of dark-berry, asphalt and slate aromas and flavors. Full body, loads of fruit and a long, flavorful finish. Balsamico, too. Characterful. Refined and transparent style.

Decoy's pinnacle red blend, this bold and luxurious wine combines the finest Napa Valley Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo to create an alluring and complex wine. On the palate, velvety tannins accentuate the generous fruit, with gorgeous flavors of black raspberry, cherry, cassis, briary spice, and sweet French oak lingering on the long, delectable finish.

Blend: 43% Merlot, 25% Zinfandel, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Tempranillo

Distinct and elegant aromas of ripe red fruit and black cherry, with scents of spices and vanilla. Round in the mouth, velvety and harmonic. This wine pairs well with tasty pasta and rice dishes and is excellent with grilled or roasted red meat and medium cheeses.

Intense ruby-red with violet highlights. Fresh and clean on the nose with lush aromas of cherry and red raspberries. Well-balanced and elegant with a well-structured acidity.

This wine is ideal with antipasto, flavorful pasta dishes, meats, sharp and aged cheeses.

Bright ruby red color, with the typical hue of Nebbiolo. Suave fragrance on the nose, mountain berries, raspberry, purple-toned inner florals and cassis, a touch of licorice. The palate is enveloping, with just the lightest touch of fizz and a soft crunchy texture. Complex bouquet of orange peels, raspberries, fresh black cherry and a very lifted, refreshing finish.

G.D. Vajra is one of the foremost producers in Piedmont. Varja's Langhe Rosso is a blend of younger vine nebbiolo, barbera, dolcetto, fresia, albarossa, and pinot noir, meant to be a snapshot of Piemonte's Langhe. A baby Barolo if you like, and it is easy to see why. Look for a fragrant nose of tobacco, plums, and floral notes. The attack is round and forward with soft red fruit flavours reminiscent of cherries, pomegranates, spice, and liquorice, with a mineral dryness, finesse, and firmness in the finish that screams Italian. Onion soup, steak tartare, mushroom risotto, and young hard cheeses all work here.

Occhetti is ruby red in color with garnet hues, typical of the Nebbiolo grape variety. The nose is elegant with notes of raspberries accompanied by hints of roses and licorice. The palate is full and harmonious with a lengthy tannin-rich finish.

An expressive burst of aromas of deep dark fruits lead into layered tones of lifted red fruit and a soft, luscious mid-palate. A juicy, vibrant entry with notes of black cherry, black raspberry, fig, baking spice and fresh Santa Rosa plum, is interwoven with supple, textured tannins and acidity on the long, complex finish. Pair well with grilled steak, sausage and peppers with cheesy polenta, and pasta dishes with tomato-based sauces such as baked rigatoni or pappardelle Bolognese. Pairs well with semi-hard cheeses such as dry jack – our favorite is from a local Sonoma producer, Vella Cheese Company – and aged cheddar or gouda.

Silk & Spice represents the exceptional flavors made possible by Portugal’s diverse terroir, indigenous Portuguese grapes, and the exotic spices and aromas discovered on the ‘Silk and Spice’ routes to the far east in the 1500’s. This is a red blend of deep, rich layers, characterized by aromas of ripe red fruit with hints of vanilla, mocha and spices. The label illustrates a reinterpretation of an original XV century map from the Age of Discovery. It details the Bay of Bengal, the Portuguese coat of arms and a historic caravel of the time, all symbolizing the bravery of the maritime explorers who journeyed into the unknown and shared with the world spices like nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper, and fabrics like silk.
