Our Blanco Tequila is crafted in small batches from fully mature blue agave grown in Los Valles of Jalisco. After being handpicked, the agave is cooked, fermented in steel vats, then double-distilled in Alembic stills. Tequila Zarpado brings true craft quality at an everyday price.

To make 818 Reposado Tequila, 100% pure Weber Blue agave is harvested by hand, roasted, fermented for days, and double-distilled. Although not mentioned on the label, our sources tell us that it’s produced at the La Cofradia Distillery located in the town of Tequila. Then the Spirit is aged up to one year in oak.

Our tequila begins as 100% Blue Weber Agave, matured for seven years. We gently squeeze the cooked piñas, illuminating the agave plant’s natural honey characteristic and quelling any trace of bitterness.

Reposado is double distilled, then fermented in open-air tanks, amid fragrant citrus trees, resting for three months in the same French oak barrels used for aging Napa Valley Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, imparting an incredibly smooth taste.

AROMAS AND FLAVORS

The fragrant nose opens with cooked agave, ripe banana, apple, chocolate and cappuccino, layered over aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, pumpkin and clove. On the palate, honey maple, peaches and cream, white chocolate and a thread of minerality segues to a pepper and toasted oak finish.

Aromas of both cooked and raw agave and warm tropical fruits, a cool mouthfeel, and a long, endless finish suggest more maturity than a typical unaged tequila. It was here that Spanish conquistadors first discovered the local fermented agave drink called “pulque.” From that native spirit, the Spaniards created “mescal.” Monte Alban is named for the mountaintop settlement in Oaxaca, Mexico known for its agave plants, both cultivated and wild. Monte Alban Mezcal is made from 100% Espadin agave sourced from Oaxaca. Monte Alban Mezcal possesses a moderately smoky and salty character with a mildly fruity finish.
