Named for a popular hiking trail in the Mad River Valley, Burnt Rock Bourbon was an accidental experiment turned right. Our Head Distiller Al came up with the idea to smoke barley over maple wood and add it to a Bourbon mash. With a combination of 70% Corn, 15% Rye, and 15% Smoked Barley the Burnt Rock Bourbon is especially unique. This whiskey explodes with flavor and spice with just a touch of smoke.  92 proof.

Van Winkle Special Reserve is the perfect combination of age and proof. This sweet, full-bodied whiskey has been described by some as “nectar.” The 12 years of aging and medium proof seem to be just right in creating a very pleasant drink of whiskey. This fine bourbon can compete with any excellent cognac as an after-dinner drink. The overall impression is rich and deep.

Emerald Rye is Blue Run’s second Rye Whiskey release. Contract distilled at Castle & Key in Frankfort, Kentucky, this limited collection was crafted from just 189 barrels. Emerald embraces the distinct, spicy characteristics of rye, yet with the approachability and depth of an aged bourbon.

A straight American whiskey with higher rye content than our Small Batch Bourbon, but short of a true rye whiskey. Different and great. Perfect for sipping or making cocktails. Color: Amber to light copper. Nose: Brown baking spices of cinnamon and allspice with creamy browned butter. Palate: Clove and allspice, freshly baked dark rye bread with hints of orange blossom honey. Mouthfeel: Cinnamon spice with creamy butterscotch pudding. Our flagship Westland American Single Malt Whiskey represents the truest expression of our house style. At the core of this whiskey's flavor profile is a grain bill comprised of five different roasted and kilned barley malts giving our whiskey a character unique to Westland Distillery. The base is a pale malt, grown in the State of Washington. To that we add specialty malts, a concept inspired by the vibrant craft brewing culture of the Pacific Northwest. Deep and rich in flavors, these specialty malts contribute to the whiskey notes of chocolate, nuts, cookies, pastries, mocha, caramel and raisins. Our Belgian brewer's yeast further enhances flavor development, creating fruity esters during fermentation. 1870 Original Batch is a small batch of barrels from three warehouses to replicate George Garvin Brown’s batching process in 1870.

A Vermont Single Malt Whiskey

**Limited Release**
Vermont's first Single Malt Whiskey is a collaboration between Mad River Distillers and Lawson's Finest Liquids. Triple Sunshine The wash is 100% barley, brewed by the collaborator, and send to Mad River Distillers for fermentation, distilling and barrel aging in Warren, VT. Distillation in our Muller still and careful aging in American oak Barrels results in a Vermont single malt whiskey of exceptional character.

A whiskey gets its color and character from the cask in which it ages and matures. This Double Cask whiskey goes through the process twice. The first five years of maturation in a new charred oak barrel makes it a bourbon. That bourbon then experiences secondary maturation in decades-old casks seasoned by Pedro Ximenez sherry that adds a touch of sweetness, and yields a smooth and impressively complex spirit.

TASTING NOTES

COLOR: copper to mahogany

NOSE: autumnal notes of dried apricot, mission fig, and dried date

PALATE: stewed prune and black raisin, with hints of candied orange peel; vanilla butter cream and toffee underneath

MOUTHFEEL: rich, sticky cinnamon roll with raisins and spice

FINISH: dark dried fruit, followed by warming brown baking spices

Angel's Envy Kentucky straight bourbon is finished in port wine casks to create an award-winning, handcrafted whiskey made in small batches of eight to 10 barrels at a time.

A favourite of whiskey enthusiasts, this limited release small-batch Kentucky Whiskey is the resurgence of an expression that was wildly popular in the 1970s and 80s. The 'Sour Mash' moniker refers to their process of using previously fermented mash as a starter from the new mash to be fermented. As it has a highly individual grain selection, the whiskey cannot be referred to as a rye or a bourbon. Matured in charred new American white oak barrels, and bottled at 43% abv.

Expect notes of smoky creme brulee on the nose, leading to more caramelised sugar, spices, smoky fruit, and hints of cherry on the palate. Starts out like a bourbon and finishes like a rye. 

Michter's US*1 Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey earned four stars from F. Paul Pacult's Spirit Journal, and earned a score of 90-95 points from Wine Enthusiast.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is a blend of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and a unique honey liqueur of our own making, for a taste that’s one-of-a-kind and unmistakably Jack. With hints of honey and a finish that’s naturally smooth, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is something special.

Michter’s US-1 Bourbon is made from a carefully selected mashbill that features the highest quality American corn. It is then matured to the peak of perfection, with barrels often aging in excess of eight years. Truly “small batch,” each batch of our US*1 Bourbon is typically composed of no more than two dozen barrels, leaving no margin for “blending out” imperfection and thus necessitating excellence from every barrel. Reflecting the spirit of the Bluegrass State, Michter’s US*1 Bourbon is nuanced, mellow, and earthy.
