Wine Profile: Dark ruby in color, the fruit in the aroma is black cherry, blueberry and red raspberry. Primary Vineyards: 100% Bosche Vineyard, a small 22-acre vineyard located west of Hwy. 29, on the famed Rutherford Bench, the Bosché Vineyard has very deep gravelly soils. A seasonal creek crosses the vineyard which indicates the water table to be high in the spring, providing water and nutrients for new shoot growth. As veraison approaches the water table drops, stressing the wines and intensifying the dark velvety fruit flavors. This is a natural area to grow Bordeaux varietals with dry farming or minimal drip irrigation.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a powerful, dense wine. Inky black cherry, new leather, spice, menthol and licorice add to an impression of brooding intensity. I would cellar the 2018 for at least a few years, as the tannins are pretty impenetrable at this stage.

This vintage marked the 25th anniversary of the Conn Valley Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, planted by David Abreu, and showcases bright, fresh Cabernet aroma of wild cherries, chocolate and fresh tobacco leaf.

The fruit for the Double Black Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested during the cool early morning hours. Following de-stemming, the grapes were fermented slowly in stainless steel fermenters and then pressed gently into stainless steel tanks. A portion of the wine is aged on a blend of American and French oak while another portion is maintained in stainless steel, providing blending options for the winemaker to craft a bold and structured wine

Our 2019 Wetmore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful representation of our Charles Wetmore Vineyard in the Livermore Valley. Elegant from start to finish, with earthy undertones and ripe blackberry.

Bold and precise, the wine exemplifies the Coombsville AVA by expressing the volcanic soils that run

throughout the estate vineyard. A vivid purple rim surrounds an opaque core while penetrating aromas

emerge from initial cassis and powdered chocolate, expanding to graphite and Herbs de Provence. An

immediate burst of dark cherry and ripe blackberry intermingle with savory herbs and slate-like minerality against a backdrop of balanced acidity and firm tannins that brings tension to the powerful finish.

Red Rock is exactly what it seems, filled with tiny red rocks and oxidized iron content.
