Each year our Master Blender, Rachel Barrie, personally selects a handful of individual casks from the warehouses at the GlenDronach Distillery to be released as a Cask bottling. Since its founding in 1765, Hennessy has been guided by a passion to craft the world’s finest Cognacs - our drive to Never Stop. Never Settle. Hennessy Cognac is crafted with a strict set of standards defined by the Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde and handed down from generation to generation. However, when it comes to enjoying Cognac, we haven’t followed any rules since 1765. Created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for his circle of close friends, Hennessy X.O was the first “Extra Old” Cognac ever invented and established the category. In 1947, Gérald de Geoffre designed the first Hennessy X.O decanter, whose distinctive form is still familiar to us today. Its silhouette is a tribute to the pyramid-like forms of the grape bunches that give birth to the Cognac eaux-de-vie. Hennessy X.O's intense and deep amber color is a sign of its strength. Its flavors of candied fruit and its subtle and lightly spicy nose create a complete harmony: a mark of its power and roundness. To taste, a smooth, full sensation gives a simultaneously powerful and soft tonality with a hint of cocoa and a warm, fruity presence. The long finish expresses all the complexity of the cognac’s blending and its long ageing process.

A beautiful golden yellow, glinting with bright sparkles, is set off by an eruption of finely chiseled bubbles. Both complex and refreshing on the nose with fine, intense notes of orchard fruits, combined with nuts and stone fruit (lightly roasted flaked almonds, frangipani, candied mandarin peel) and accentuated by the radiance of a floral persistence (acacia flower and rose petal). The fullness of the wine (fresh yellow raspberry, fresh quince, honey biscuits, and lemon caviar) is symbolized by fresh fig, licorice, and pigeon heart tomato. It has a texture with a strong personality, limestone and an incredible intensity curbed by its fully integrated low dosage. The finish develops towards notes of toasted bread and bergamot. This is an impressive vintage with great depth. Tense and mineral, it is characterized by an elegant vinosity and offers you all the distinction of a well-aged champagne.

Served at cellar temperature (11°C to 12°C), this cuvée will bring out the flavors of an excellent sole in lemon butter or a delicious veal chop with chanterelle mushrooms.

A incredibly rare and terrific vintage 1980 18 years old Macallan Sherry Wood Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled without added colouring or chill filtration in the year 1999 at 43.0% vol. and now one of Macallan s particularly rare original bottlings from the early 1980s.
The 18-year-old Macallan Oloroso sherry oak matured Highland single malt scotch whisky is part of the series that gave Macallan its almost legendary reputation: the pure sherry cask bottlings. It was not until the mid-1960s that Macallan concentrated on sherry cask-matured single malts and was able to gain great recognition among whisky connoisseurs worldwide in a short space of time with its unusual cask policy. At that time, they experimented with different sherry casks and then decided to use European Oloroso casks, in which the world-famous Spanish liqueur wine had previously been seasoned. Despite the crisis in the 1980s among sherry producers, the Speyside distillery Macallan managed to secure a supply of selected sherry casks and to continue bottling the coveted sherry cask matured whiskies.
Today, the 18-year-old sherry-oak Macallan Single Malt is one of the world s best-known and most sought-after whiskies, enjoys an almost legendary reputation due to its excellent quality and the fact that it is bottled without colouring agents, and can certainly be described as an icon among Scotch whiskies. In 2004, respectively with the vintage 1986 bottling, Macallan changed the design and the packaging of the 18 years Sherry Oak, these bottles and packaging have a modern shape and were delivered with a shiny-purple box, from 1992 the bottlings were additionally marked with a security hologram on the capsule and an individual number in addition to the existing bottle code to protect against counterfeiting. In 2017, the vintage indication on the bottles was changed and the Macallan Sherry Oak Scotch Whisky now bears the indication of the year of bottling / release on the bottle label as well as on the packaging. Inspired by the Rare Cask series, Macallan then changed the design of the bottle in April 2018, presenting the distinctive v-shaped indentation worked into the glass at the transition to the bottle neck with optimised refill and counterfeit protection combined with an embossed box with a high-quality design.
In particular, the special sherry wood bottlings in the old design from the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s are almost impossible to find today and fetch exorbitant prices at Bonhams, Kruger and Christies auctions, with a further upward trend. The sherry oak vintage bottlings from the late 1980s and 1990s are now among the most sought-after bottlings and individual vintages are now true rarities!

The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-In-Bond Spring 2025 9-Year-Old Bourbon is the 15th release in Heaven Hill’s elegant decanter series. Featuring a balanced profile with classic bourbon flavors including dark cherries, light caramel, tart citrus, dry oak, and some spice in the finish, this release has a slightly lighter body than many of the prior releases. Nevertheless, it is quite an enjoyable pour.

All of the Old Fitzgerald Decanter Series Bourbons are made from Heaven Hill’s wheated bourbon mash bill, the same one used for the Larceny line of bourbons.

This Puligny-Montrachet reveals a nice yellow color with green glints. On the nose it reveals floral notes and almond paste. On the palate, it is opulent, aromas of vanilla with a mentholated and iodized touch. Beautiful freshness on the finish!

Pure elegance in a glass. Aromas of black cherries, pomegranate, dried cranberries and a hint of graphite channel classic Bordeaux. Its lovely, silky texture coats the palate with layers of black cherries and a touch of cedar from French oak’s fine tannins. From beginning to end, the balance carries all the way through. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon’s red fruit flavors, silky palate and structure make it a wonderful wine for food. The classic pairing would be New York Strip steak or filet mignon, but the elegance, uplifting acidity and toasted oak nuance will complement grilled or savory roasted dishes, such as herb-crusted lamb, roasted chicken or grilled pork loin. It’s a medium-bodied red wine that won’t overpower more delicate dishes, such as mushroom risotto, ratatouille or duck confit.

This is a truly remarkable vintage of our iconic flagship wine. The bouquet is intense with fragrant notes of wild sage, blackcurrant, cedar, and fresh mint. The palate is expansive and full-bodied with a sumptuous mouthfeel, showcasing layers of ripe blackberry, redcurrant, and red rose petal alongside earthier tones of graphite, licorice root, gravely stone, and dark chocolate. Subtle baking spices from the French oak barrel aging provide sandalwood, clove, and Ceylon cinnamon notes, while the signature “Rutherford Dust” tannins are silky, polished, and fine-grained, finishing long with a cocoa powder texture. Slightly reserved upon release but incredibly drinkable, elegant, and pleasing, the tannins provide approachability with beautiful harmony and balance. There is significant presence, depth, and concentration in this Private Reserve, foreshadowing cellar-worthy potential that will continue to evolve, unfold, and develop across the next few decades.

Saturated ruby red in complexion, the wine exudes elegance, purity and richness. Teeming with profound aromas of black raspberries, currants, cassis, cedar and rose petals, it invites the senses. The entry is lush and pure which provides shape to an ideal symmetry of dark berries, cocoa, plums, and black cherries. The flavors transition into a savory and bright mouthfeel, finishing with absolute elegance and softness.

Founded in 1889 and since its inception, offering a truly unique and definite sweet, honeyed flavour, Balvenie whisky has long since secured its place in the hall of Scottish whisky fame. Indeed, Balvenie is one of the most famous names in the world of whisky. Its distillery is capable of producing over 5.5 million litres of spirit a year - amazing considering the fact that every element of production takes place on site. Balvenie grows its barley on land adjacent to the distillery buildings, has an active malting floor and makes casks in its very own cooperage. Balvenie came into existence thanks to William Grant, a Scotsman who founded the distillery in 1889. Grant was inspired to build a new distillery in order to help his other distillery at Glenfiddich to meet customer demand. Glenfiddich had opened half a decade earlier and its whisky was proving very popular, so he decided to renovate the nearby estate of Balvenie House. Much to Grant’s delight, his new distillery was an instant success. At this stage, much of the whisky produced at Balvenie House was used within the highly popular Grant & Sons range of blended whiskies and it continued as such for almost a century. It wasn’t until the 1970s that single malt releases became common. And this was when Balvenie really came into its own. Balvenie gained fast popularity with its sweet, creamy and rich character. Indeed, the demand for their single malt led Grant & Sons to build another distillery next door with Kininvie beginning production in 1990. Today, both Balvenie and Glenfiddich concentrate on meeting consumer demand for their single malts, with only a small percentage now going to Grant's blends. Balenvie remains under the ownership of the Grant family, making William Grant & Sons one of the longest single family distilleries in the world. All Balvenie whiskies are deliciously sweet with honey and vanilla notes. Their marriage of fruity flavours with the honey and vanilla makes them typical Speyside expressions. With a large core range, the sweet tones are often complemented with oak and deeper flavours such as leather and cigars. As you can imagine, the Balvenie award cabinet is heavy with marks of acclaim. To cover just a single year – in 2006, Balvenie took home the following gold medals from the International Spirits Challenge: Founder’s Reserve 10 Year Old, Double Wood 12 Year Old, Balvenie New Wood 17 Year Old, Port Wood 21 Year Old, Balvenie Thirty and Balvenie Port Wood 1991. This is the biggest gold medal haul for any brand in any one year since the competition was launched.

This Macallan 25 Year Old Anniversary Malt was distilled in 1967 and bottled in 1993 at 43% ABV.

Macallan are no stranger to producing highly collectible series and the Anniversary Malt series is no exception. Consisting of 16 vintage statement releases and two non-vintage bottlings, the 25 Year Old Anniversary Malts make the perfect vertical for any whisky collector. 

There is little knowledge as to why this 25 Year Old bottling run is called the Anniversary Malt series, although it is likely that the releases were aimed at anyone celebrating a 25 year old anniversary as a gift or commemorative keepsake. The original bottles were sold for £25 when they were released (another canny marketing ploy - £25 for a 25 year old whisky), making it considerably easier to give as a gift than it is today! 

The first 25 Year Old Anniversary Malt was released in 1983 and carried a vintage year of 1957. This original release and the following year’s bottle include “bottled by Macallan-Glenlivet” on the label which Macallan dropped after 1984.   

Whilst there were releases of the Macallan 25 Year Old Anniversary Malt most years from 1983 to 2000, there were a few years that were missed: 1960, 1961, and 1973. However, it is widely believed that some of the non vintage statement releases of the Anniversary Malt are likely from these missing years as they are bottled at 75cl, a volume that was not used after 1990. 

The last release of the Anniversary Malt to carry a vintage statement was the 1975 25 Year Old, bottled in 2000. Whilst there were additional releases until 2004, none of these bottles had their distillation year on the label, despite otherwise looking the same.

The Anniversary Malts are certainly good looking bottles for a collection. The series features the iconic Macallan cream and gold labels with the bold red 25 in the centre of the label. From 1983 until 2002, the Anniversary Malts were accompanied by a classic wooden presentation box, however this was changed in the final years of the series to a red box, the same as the Macallan 30 Year Old.

The Macallan 25 Year Old Anniversary Malt is a fantastic addition to any whisky collection, either as a commemorative item or the start of a highly valuable vertical.

About the domain

Located on the Isle of Islay, in the heart of the village of the same name, in 1963 Bowmore became, under the aegis of Stanley P. Morrison (owner of the distillery until it was bought by the Japanese company Suntory in 1994), one of the greatest commercial successes in the Scotch whisky industry. Vault #1, responsible for some of its greatest releases, including Bowmore 30 Year Old 1963 and Bowmore Bicentenary, played an important role in forging its international reputation. Built below sea level against a natural dyke, its walls and beaten earth floors are constantly steeped in sea spray. Rooted in tradition, Bowmore is one of the last remaining distilleries to malt part of its own barley on-site. Whether matured in bourbon casks (White Bowmore 1964) or sherry casks (Black Bowmore 1964), its spirit, characterized by notes of liquorice, peat and eucalyptus, never fails to reveal the trademark hint of exotic fruit for which the distillery is known.

About the cuvée

Bowmore 25 Year Old was launched in the early 1990s. The bottle is inspired by a Scottish legend that says that when the Scots spread from their Celtic homeland to found the Kingdom of Dal Riada, the Pictish clans resisted. The daughter of the Pictish king is said to have fallen in love with a captured Scottish solider, who she helped escape and fled with to Islay. A storm caused their boat was wrecked upon the shores of Loch Indaal, the two lovers appearing to have lost their lives, but two seagulls were seen flying across the water, never settling on either shore.

This is bourbon turned up to eleven—a bottle that defines luxury, depth, and decadence in a way few whiskeys ever achieve. Woodford Double Double Oaked takes everything you love about the original Double Oaked and amplifies it, resting even longer in a second, custom-crafted barrel that’s deeply toasted and lightly charred. The result? A whiskey so rich, so impossibly smooth, it’s practically dessert in a glass.

From the moment it touches your lips, expect an explosion of dark chocolate-dipped toffee, smoked vanilla bean, and velvety caramel, layered with toasted marshmallow, cinnamon-dusted pecans, and waves of maple syrup.
