A favourite of whiskey enthusiasts, this limited release small-batch Kentucky Whiskey is the resurgence of an expression that was wildly popular in the 1970s and 80s. The 'Sour Mash' moniker refers to their process of using previously fermented mash as a starter from the new mash to be fermented. As it has a highly individual grain selection, the whiskey cannot be referred to as a rye or a bourbon. Matured in charred new American white oak barrels, and bottled at 43% abv.

Expect notes of smoky creme brulee on the nose, leading to more caramelised sugar, spices, smoky fruit, and hints of cherry on the palate. Starts out like a bourbon and finishes like a rye.
