The blend draws from a spectrum of aged expressions across the James B. Beam Distilling Co. portfolio. Components finished in sherry casks and toasted bourbon casks are among the whiskeys included in the final blend.
The official tasting notes from the brand describe a deep auburn color with an aroma of "layers of fig, raisin and molasses." The palate is "full-bodied with velvety caramel, cinnamon and oak," leading to "a long finish with seasoned oak and raisin."
The Little Book series has grown into one of the most collectible annual releases in the American whiskey category. Each chapter explores a different theme and blending concept, with previous editions incorporating combinations of bourbon, rye, malt whiskey, and grain whiskey from various sources within the Beam Suntory family of distilleries.
